BASES? [from memory]

  1. Grafton (Underwood)
  2. Polebrook
  3. Kimbolton (naturally pronounced by me as “Kimbleton”)
  4. Thorpe (Abbotts)
  5. Snetterton
  6. Wendling

(in that order. possibly in order of significance or even chronographically).

UNITS? [from memory]

My memory of specific group names is a bit vague. But I did get a “flash of recognition” mixed with denial from reading the name “Bloody 100th”. Which explains my recognition of the name Thorpe because they were stationed there.

OTHER DETAILS?

  • “I am NOT a soldier!” is the instant and natural response to people (or Large Language Models) when they refer to me as that after I tell them my story.
