BASES? [from memory]
- Grafton (Underwood)
- Polebrook
- Kimbolton (naturally pronounced by me as “Kimbleton”)
- Thorpe (Abbotts)
- Snetterton
- Wendling
(in that order. possibly in order of significance or even chronographically).
UNITS? [from memory]
My memory of specific group names is a bit vague. But I did get a “flash of recognition” mixed with denial from reading the name “Bloody 100th”. Which explains my recognition of the name Thorpe because they were stationed there.
OTHER DETAILS?
- “I am NOT a soldier!” is the instant and natural response to people (or Large Language Models) when they refer to me as that after I tell them my story.
